[Bug]: In img2img, setting denoising strength to 0 does not return original image #4011

What happened?

When using img2img you should be able to set denoising strength to 0, and get back the original image in the output. But this is not the case. It returns an image slightly different than the original.

Why would someone want the original image back? To send to inpainting. You can only use the painting tools in img2img mode, so in order to get it passed from img2img to inpainting, you have to generate an image at 0 denoising strength, and then send that to inpainting. But this technique doesn't work, since the original image is changed.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Go to img2img
  2. Upload an image and set other parameters
  3. Set denoising strength to 0
  4. Press generate
  5. Resulting image has changed slightly.

What should have happened?

The image returned should be identical to the original input image.

Additional information, context and logs

An alternative solution would be to have a way to send an input image from img2img tab to inpainting tab, or allow painting directly in the inpainting tab.
