When a class implements a protocol, an extension should be created at the bottom of the file that declares the protocol conformance and implements the protocol. 1 extension per protocol:

// NewProtocol.swift //
protocol NewProtocol {
    func reqMethod()
}

// Test.swift //
class Test {

    // content
}

// MARK: - Protocols
// MARK: NewProtocol

extension Test: NewProtocol {
    func reqMethod() {
        // content
    }
}
