PR #158781 added the ability to right-click on an activity-bar item to hide its "badge" of items needing attention (a source-control activity-bar item might display a count of changed files in a badge, for example).

However this hiding does not persist across launches of VS Code. The state of this toggle should be persisted somehow - presumably in user settings.
