zsh-dot-up is a zsh plugin that converts ..., ...., ....., etc., into cd commands to navigate parent directories.
zplug "toku-sa-n/zsh-dot-up"Just type ..., ...., ....., etc., in your terminal. You'll see the destination directory below the command line. Pressing the Enter key will navigate to the directory.
zsh-dot-up attaches to the line-finish and line-pre-redraw widgets via add-zle-hook-widget, so it plays nicely with frameworks such as Zim's input module. If another plugin replaces those widgets without using hooks, whichever one runs last will win—reorder your sourcing or disable the other plugin if you hit that situation.
zsh-dot-up does not provide highlighting by default. If you want to highlight ..., ...., ....., etc., install zsh-syntax-highlighting, and write the following code in your .zshrc.
ZSH_HIGHLIGHT_HIGHLIGHTERS+=(regexp)
ZSH_HIGHLIGHT_REGEXP+=('^\s*(\.){2,}$' fg=green)Copyright (C) 2024 Hiroki Tokunaga
