Sky says its 'lowest price is back' as TV and broadband bills cut by £120
Sky has dropped the price of its flagship TV, Netflix and fibre broadband package to help Brits keep their household bills down
Sky has kicked off March by bringing back a popular deal that’s seen a TV and broadband bundle drop to its ‘lowest ever price’. Brits can now get Sky’s Essential TV and Full Fibre 150 broadband for £35 per month, shaving £5 off the usual price. Sky said ‘our lowest ever price is back’ as it reduced the package from the usual £40. This means shoppers signing up for the TV, Netflix and broadband bundle can save £120 on their bills over the life of the plan. With the Essential TV pack, members gain access to more than 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic – home of The White Lotus and The Last of Us – Sky Arts and Sky Sports News. It also includes the major free-to-air channels like BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and many more.
The combined bundle also comes with free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+, with the option to add Sky Cinema and Sky Sports to the package for £10 and £20 respectively. The latest deal also includes 150Mbps fibre broadband, with no upfront costs to get things up and running. Sky is among the providers to introduce the new One Touch Switch scheme, which means customers don’t have to contact their existing broadband provider to complete the switch. With this, Sky will contact them on customers behalf and do the necessary leg work.
Sky also recently introduced its new Ultimate TV plan, which comes with more than 40 extra channels – including Sky Showcase, Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries and Sky Comedy – for an extra £4 per month. All of this comes via Sky Stream, the brand’s new device that provides TV and streaming access through WiFi rather than a traditional satellite dish.
This requires a minimum speed of 25Mbps to work, so ensure you check your available speeds during checkout. It’s also worth keeping in mind that to bag the cheaper prices means committing to a 24-month plan, while Sky states its prices ‘may change’ during the minimum term, including the April price rise implemented by many companies each year.
Elsewhere, Virgin Media is giving away a free 4K Hisense TV with its own TV and broadband bundles. However, this deal is set to expire at 11.59pm on Monday, March 3.
