'Gripping' crime drama with Grey's Anatomy star will be your next binge watch this Autumn

A "gripping" new crime drama series is coming to TV screens this month starring a Grey's Anatomy favourite - and fans don't have long left to wait.

Hotel Costiera will be perfect for fans of crime dramas such as Dept Q, Death in Paradise and Line of Duty and is guaranteed to be your next Autumn binge. It follows a former US marine as he takes on the role of a "fixer" at a luxury hotel in Positano, Italy.

But things soon spiral when a woman goes missing. Ahead of the brand new release, we have put together everything you need to know, from release date to star studded cast.

A synopsis teases: "With a gripping storyline, fast-paced action and comedy, Hotel Costiera follows Daniel De Luca, a half Italian former U.S. Marine. Daniel returns to Italy, the land of his childhood, as a fixer in one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, located on the spectacular coastline of Positano.

"In addition to dealing with the wealthy guests’ problems, Daniel is also on the trail of Alice, one of the owner's daughters who disappeared a month earlier. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced."

Hotel Costiera release date and episode count

Hotel Costiera is set to be released on Wednesday, September 24. Spanning across six episodes, all instalments will be available to stream straight away.

The new series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in the United States, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The new series is filmed in Italy and boasts stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. Prime Video also states there is an "exceptional Italian and international cast."

The series has a star studded cast including a Grey's Anatomy favourite. Jesse Williams will take on the role of Daniel De Luca.

Jesse Williams is well known for his role as Jackson Avery in the long running ABC medical drama, having officially left the popular show Grey's Anatomy in 2021 during the show's 17th season.

Alongside Jesse, fans will also see Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade. The series is also directed by Emmy Award–winning Adam Bernstein (Fargo) and Giacomo Martelli.

Based on an idea by Luca Bernabei, it was written by Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill, and Francesco Arlanch.
