EXCLUSIVE: ABBA stars perform together again at incredible encore for ABBA Voyage anniversary

After the show, which featured new songs including Super Trouper, in a Benny Andersson played piano with Anni-Frid Lyngstad , Elvis Costello and then Guy Garvey taking the mic

Lucky fans were treated to an incredible encore at the ABBA Voyage 3rd anniversary show - when two of the original band member sang and played piano.


The revolutionary concert featuring cutting-edge technology so the band appear as avatars on screen features spectacular lighting, and now even more of the most beloved songs ever written after new ones were added last night.


The audience screamed with delight when they were told they were watching the performance with band members Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad in attendance for the celebratory event.

Then after the show which featured new songs including Super Trouper, in a backstage garden area for some of the invited guests, Benny played piano with Elvis Costello and then Guy Garvey taking lead vocals whilst fellow ABBA member Anni-Frid - known as Frida - looked on dressed in white.

At one point Elvis briefly handed the mic to Frida which saw her and Benny reunited for a few bars. Songs included Knowing Me, Knowing You sung by Elvis and The Winner Takes It All sung by Guy.


The crowd which included Myleene Klass and Denise Van Outen looked on stunned to see Abba members joining in the party.

And Guy told the Mirror: “That was amazing. That’s the soundtrack to everyone in my family getting christened and married, they are absolute legends.

“I found out that(encore) was happening about a week ago. It was mind-blowing. Benny was an absolute gentleman and really funny.


“I hadn’t seen the show before tonight. It blew my mind.

“My son is turning into quite the dancer at eight years old so I will be indoctrinating him into all of Abba’s back catalogue to bring him here. It’s an amazing and lovely experience. The best night out I can think of.”

Earlier in the evening the new tracks and imagery had gone down a storm with the audience, with Super Trouper arguably the one going down best.

Frida also took to the mic at the end of the Abba Voyage show in the arena and told the whole audience: “Thank you for all of your support over the years. It’s hard to imagine that’s 50 years or more. I am turning 80 this year!I love you, thank you.”
