Big Brother feud emerges as Jordan snubs house 'best friend' after race row tweets

Big Brother 2023's Jordan Sangha has appeared to snub his former 'best mate' in the house after winning the rebooted ITV reality show, after notably failing to follow them on social media

Big Brother 2023 viewers have been left shocked after winner Jordan Sangha appeared to snub his former 'best mate' in the house, leading fans to speculate on a potential feud between the pair.

The 26-year-old was crowned the champion of the ITV reality series last month, after stealing the hearts of the nation with his dry humour and unique perspective. Jordan, who admittedly entered the competition because he was "disillusioned with life", had his fair share of dramas inside the mansion, including an intense 'love triangle' with Henry Southan and Matty Simpson. Despite mostly getting on well with his housemates, it seems Jordan has cut ties with one Big Brother resident since leaving the plush London pad.

The Scunthorpe lawyer never followed Trish Balusa on social media after he was announced the winner, leaving fans to wonder if the decision was deliberate after the 33-year-old landed in hot water over racist and homophobic tweets she'd posted in 2012. The mum-of-one issued an apology for the bigoted statements, which saw her aim both the Asian and the LBGTQ+ community.

"I'm aware that some very concerning old tweets of mine have resurfaced and I would like to sincerely apologise for the harmful stereotypes I perpetuated and the pain I have caused to the marginalised communities and groups of people mentioned," Trish wrote in response to the backlash. "There are no excuses for the ignorance that I showed and I am deeply disappointed, embarrassed and ashamed that I once made such comments.

"I have come a very long way since by educating myself and being educated by others on the impact and harm these views cause. It is part of the reason why I am so passionate about standing up for others and holding myself to a high standard of responsibility and accountability for my actions.

"I appreciate the support you've all given me on the show and I understand you feel disappointed. I know apologies can seem convenient in these circumstances but I mean it from the bottom of my heart; I am truly sorry. I hope it is possible for you to offer me grace and believe that people can change. I am committed to being the person I am now, the person you have known me as - someone who speaks up, stands for what they believe in and is always open to growth and accountability. Love Trish."

Trish, who was evicted in a shock double elimination alongside Chanelle Bowen, has also recently unfollowed Jordan on social media following the scandal surrounding her offensive statements. The Luton native now regularly posts about social and human rights issues on her various platforms, as well as the occasional personal update.
