Don't miss out on this special unofficial 60 year tribute to the Fab Four

If another band ever has the same impact on popular music and culture as The Beatles, they will be some group indeed. It’s now more than 60 years since the Fab Four began a career that spanned a decade. Buy your copy here .

Inventive and original from the beginning, they defined the sound of the 1960s and continue to influence artists whose parents were not even born when The Beatles were still together. On the way from Merseybeat to psychedelia and beyond, they have left an unmatched body of work.

This special publication – the first of four on the Fab Four – tracks the evolution of The Beatles from their beginnings in Liverpool at the turn of the decade, through their earliest shows in the Merseyside area, on to their career-defining months in Hamburg and then the huge fame that followed with the birth of Beatlemania.

With pictures from the Mirrorpix and Getty Images archives, we will trace the band’s rise from local to national and then international celebrity, finishing at the end of 1963 as they closed off the year with some of their biggest performances and TV appearances so far.

Future editions will cover the rest of The Beatles’ career.
