Coleen Rooney among I'm A Celeb stars reaching out to Danny Jones

Danny Jones is celebrating his birthday this week and some of his I'm A Celebrity co-stars have reached out over it, following the news of his apparent kiss with Maura Higgins

Former co-stars of Danny Jones have been among those reaching out to him for his birthday this week amid the scandal over his apparent kiss with Maura Higgins.

I'm A Celebrity winner Danny, now 39, and his former campmate Maura, 34, have made headlines over reports that they had a "drunken kiss" at a BRIT Awards after-party in London earlier this month. Footage released shortly after the event appears to show them having a kiss and a more recently published second video reportedly shows them later chatting at second party.

Amid the situation, Danny's wife Georgia Horsley, 38, has yet to mark his birthday today on social media. The McFly member however has received well wishes from fans and celebrity pals including Coleen Rooney, 38, who was runner-up to Danny on last year's I'm A Celeb.

Alongside a photo of Danny coaching one of her sons on playing a guitar, she wrote on her Instagram Story: "Have a great day." Coleen had put a sticker reading "happy birthday" above her caption on the photo.

She's not the only former campmate to have celebrated the occasion, with Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, 42, having also posted a message for Danny. He uploaded a photo of them together from their time in the camp in Australia and wrote beside it: "Happy birthday."

Danny's birthday comes less than two weeks after it was claimed earlier this month that he and Maura had a "drunken kiss" at a Universal Music after-party at 180 Studios on the Strand following the BRIT Awards. Footage, shared by the Sun, appears to show them having a kiss and a source previously told the outlet that they "seemed to be having a great time," adding: "They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss."

They were seen smiling as they left that party and are said to have both then ended up at Sony's afterparty at the Nobu Hotel in Portman Square in the city. They are reported to have travelled separately to the second party.

Danny and his wife Georgia, who are parents to seven-year-old son Cooper together, were recently seen out together for the first time since the scandal broke. The pair, who have been married since 2014, are said to be "very much together".

A source told the Mirror: "They are clearly looking to put things behind them, and move on with their lives. It really hasn't been a good time at all but they are very much together." A source added: "They are positive people and can look to the future together. Things have been hard but they are moving forward as a couple."
