Dua Lipa's fiancé Callum Turner shares wedding update as he reveals couple's major rule
Singing sensation Dua Lipa is engaged to British actor Callum Turner, who is best known for roles in Fantastic Beasts and Masters of the Air
Dua Lipa's fiancé Callum Turner has given an update on their wedding plans in a candid interview. The pop star is set to tie the knot with British actor Callum but it's thought that a date has not yet been set.
The pair have been together since early 2024 and Callum has now revealed a major rule that keeps them together. Dua is currently halfway through the US leg of her tour which means she's doesn't get to see her partner too much.
However, the couple are used to this and make sure that they set aside time to be together. Even if it's just two days, they do their best to make it happen.
Callum spoke to The Times about their upcoming wedding and how they stay strong as a couple. He explained that they have been doing a lot of wedding planning through Facetime due to often being opposite sides of the world.
He said: "Well FaceTime is a wonderful thing. And the other rule is that it’s never not worth it — that’s our slogan. If you can go for two days, just f***ing go. And if you’re tired, it doesn’t matter because you’re going to have a nice time and have a nice memory."
The actor then went on to say that he will always make the effort to see Dua, even if it's just for 48 hours. Callum added: "I just flew to Boston for two days and I was exhausted but we had a really nice time. We went to an incredible restaurant, Neptune or something — I always forget the name of places."
Dua, 30, first sparked engagement rumours last Christmas when she was spotted wearing a dazzling diamond ring in a festive photo on Instagram.
In July she confirmed the news during her British Vogue cover interview, gushing about the special bond she shares with Callum.
"Yeah, we’re engaged," she said. "It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling."
The Levitating singer revealed that her partner had designed the ring with input from her closest friends and sister Rina. She added: "I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well."
Although wedding plans are underway, the couple are not rushing to the altar. "I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period," Dua explained.
"I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'"
The pair first crossed paths at The River Cafe in London, where they were introduced by co-founder Ruth Rogers. They later ran into each other by chance in Los Angeles and then started dating in January 2024.
