Keith Urban changes lyrics of Nicole Kidman song to include female guitarist amid divorce
Following his split from Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban has changed the lyrics of a romantic song to include the name of his 25 year old female guitarist
Keith Urban has shocked fans by changing the lyrics of a romantic song written about ex Nicole Kidman to include his new 25-year-old guitarist.
Only yesterday (30 September), Nicole filed for divorce after Keith allegedly rejected her attempts to fix their 19 year marriage. Rumours are already flying around Nashville about Keith moving on with a "younger woman in the music business", and now they seem to be confirmed as Keith changed the lyrics to include the name of his new guitar player, Maggie Baugh.
Nicole and Keith have reportedly been living separately since the beginning of summer, despite celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary and the actress' birthday together.
According to an insider from Keith's inner circle, divorce was "inevitable", though Nicole is said to have been "blindsided" by his wishes to split.
Shortly after the announcement was made, sources in the US claimed the country singer had already moved on, telling the press: "All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman. Let's just say, Nicole doesn't dispute that, but she's still shocked over it."
Another source said: "The rumour is that he's with a younger woman in the business. It's all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that's a mystery."

In the clip, Keith changed a lyric from, "Baby I'll be your fighter" to "Maggie, I'll be your guitar player".
The song was inspired by Keith's relationship with Nicole. In an interview, he said: "It was just a very quick, quick song to write, because I literally thought about Nic and I and our relationship in the beginning, and some of the things we had said all went into that song."
The clip of the changed lyrics was posted by Maggie on Instagram, with the caption: "Did he just say that." Fans jumped in the comments to wonder if this was the reason behind Keith and Nicole's divorce.
"OK, dumping Nicole is looking more suspect," one said. Another added: "And now he's getting divorced....eeeek!"
Keith is said to be the one who initiated the divorce. The singer reportedly moved out of their Nashville home and refused to engage with Nicole's attempts to save the marriage. Sources said he was "done" with the relationship.
Meanwhile, Nicole has been said to be "holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone". The pair have two daughters who will continue to live with Nicole for the majority of the year.
