Killing Eve's Sandra Oh surprises viewers after being spotted at the Queen's funeral

Sandra Oh, 51, was an unlikely guest at the Queen's state funeral today. The actress joined Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau as part of the Canadian delegation

Killing Eve's Sandra Oh surprised viewers after she attended the Queen's state funeral today.

The actor, 51, joined the procession as part of the Canadian delegation and was seen walking alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau.

Fans were baffled when they spotted her in an all-black outfit and hat as she walked into Westminster Abbey.

"Sandra Oh attending the Queen's funeral was not the crossover I was expecting today," one fan wrote on Twitter.

"I demand the BBC put the cameras on Sandra Oh," another added.

One wrote: "Sandra Oh being at the Queen's funeral remains one of the most random things to ever happen."

Some wondered where Sandra's on-screen partner of crime was, with one asking: "Canada sent Sandra Oh to the funeral, where was Jodie Comer's invite?"

The former Grey's Anatomy star wasn't the only celebrity to be paying their respects to the late Queen.

She was joined by Bear Grylls, 48, who represented the Scouts as chief scout.

The Queen, who is patron of the Scout Association, also made him OBE in 2019.

Peep Show's Sophie Winkleman was also in attendance, and not only is she an actor of note, she is also married to Lord Frederick Windsor - the son of Prince Michael of Kent.

Formula 1 racing star Sir Jackie Stewart, who is close friends with Princess Anne, was also seen at the funeral.

Last week Sandra was at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles after she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series.

She lost the award to Euphoria's Zendaya, who scooped the award for a second time.

The Queen died peacefully on September 8, aged 96, at Balmoral Castle.

After her death, her coffin was lying in state at Westminster Hall for the public to pay their respects.

David Beckham, Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Tilda Swinton all waited in line to say farewell to the monarch.

David has been a huge supporter of the Queen over the years, and was given an OBE in 2013.

He queued for 13 hours alongside members of the public to see the Queen's coffin and was clearly emotional by the time he payed his respects.

We Need To Talk About Kevin star Tilda looked sombre as she bowed her head when she reached the coffin.

This Morning presenters Holly and Phil attended Westminster Hall in a "professional capacity" to film a segment of Tuesday's programme, according to ITV bosses.

Despite rumours that some celebrities would be attending the state funeral, none of them were there.

Sir David Attenborough was expected to be there as he and Her Majesty were close friends and had a strong working relationship.

Elton John was also thought to have been attending as he had worked closely with the royal family over the years - however, he was also nowhere to be seen.

Speaking after her passing, Elton said: "She led the country through some of our greatest and darkest moments with grace and decency and a genuine caring warmth.

"I’m 75 and she’s been with me all my life and I feel very sad that she won’t be with me anymore, but I’m glad she’s at peace, and I’m glad she’s at rest and she deserves it."
