Molly-Mae Hague’s fashion show freak out as she causes backstage storm in Paris
Former Love Island star turned influencer Molly-Mae Hague seemed to have a day to remember in Paris for L'Oreal but her new Amzon Prime series shows real story
Molly-Mae Hague made a triumphant Paris catwalk appearance for L’Oreal this year – but her new reality series captures the drama behind the day where she threatened to quit the show over her dress.
The 26-year-old who is back dating Tommy Fury, made her Paris catwalk debut at the L'Oréal Paris runway show in late September 2025, having declined to take part in 2024.
This year Molly-Mae decided the time was right and was seen in photos smiling in a silver gown, but the lead up to it is anything but plain sailing and she was minutes from pulling out.
In the lead up to going, Molly-Mae says on her Prime Video series: “I think if my non confident part of my brain was talking, I would have probably said no, and deep down, I think I probably did want to say no, but I didn't want to let L'Oreal down. They've been such an incredible brand to work for.
“But I will get majorly starstruck if I saw Kendall Jenner. To rub shoulders with the likes of Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Eva Longoria, like there's gonna be some seriously incredible women there.”
She then flies to Paris in a private jet with her manager, mum and sister. But things don’t go smoothly and when she goes to try on potential dresses she doesn’t like the ones they have picked out. She was hoping for something “structured with shoulder pads”.
Molly-Mae says: “You’d think there's like 100% going to be something on one of those rails, but I have such, like, strict criteria with myself as to how I feel confident. I don't want to just say yes to be polite, but I don't think I'm sold on any of it.”
She then adds: “I want to feel like the best I've ever felt, and that's not going to be in any of these dresses in here. So diva or not, maybe I have to put my diva pants on and just stick to my guns.” Molly-Mae leaves and they promise to send her a dress to her suite.
But when the dress arrives she doesn’t like it and her anxiety threatens to ruin the day.
Sister Zoe says: “Genuinely. I don’t hate it at all,” as Molly-Mae tries on the dress which has a large slit down the side showing off her legs.
But Molly-Mae says: “The dress is not meant to be fine and it will make do. I've never got my legs out. I can’t go out like that. I don’t feel comfortable.”
But time is running out and as the credits roll she said: “I’m going to have a panic attack. I am not standing next to Eva Longoria, and Kara and Kendall not feeling my best.”
The incident plays out in the third episode and speaking at the premiere of the series earlier this week, Molly-Mae admitted she was a little worried about how people would react to some of the scenes.
She said: “It wasn't fun in the moment episode three, this is the first time we've actually laughed about it. It has taken like a month. But the drama that you feel and the tension that you feel is so representative to what was going on.
“I feel like the Edit team really depicted like, what was actually happening in that moment, just through, the music and cutting to like the looks that were happening in the room, like you really feel like you're in the room with us and experiencing that.“
Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 of Series 2 launch exclusively on Prime Video today (Saturday, October 18). The latter three episodes will drop early 2026.
