Pete Davidson ready to 'embrace' fatherhood despite feeling ‘guilt’ over pregnancy news

Pete Davidson has opened up about his excitement for fatherhood after he and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt announced earlier this year that they’re expecting a baby

Pete Davidson is reportedly embracing his "most meaningful chapter yet" as he prepares to welcome his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.

The Saturday Night Live star, 31, and his stunning model girlfriend, 29, are expecting their first child together, and sources say the couple couldn’t be more excited.

The pair began dating in March this year and went public with their relationship in May at the Blossom Ball. Elsie confirmed her pregnancy in July with a playful Instagram post featuring sonogram photos, pictures of the couple, and some memes, joking, “Welp, now everyone knows we had sex.”

“Pete and Elsie are doing great, and they’re both so excited about becoming parents,” a source told People, adding, “Pete’s been preparing in every way he can, from helping get the nursery ready to making sure Elsie feels supported every step of the way, and it’s clear how much he’s looking forward to fatherhood.”

The source continued, “He talks about how this is the most meaningful chapter of his life yet, and he’s really embracing it.”

But despite the joy, Pete previously opened up about feeling guilty over how the news became public and the pressure it could put on Elsie. Speaking on The Breakfast Club podcast, he said, “I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s**. Anything I do or she does now is gonna be a thing. She's a very private person, and she's the one doing all the work. It’s supposed to be a beautiful experience.”*

He added, “She's never made me feel this way or said anything, but I feel so guilty and horrible that I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy.”

Although Elsie has some experience in front of the camera, Pete worries the extra attention their pregnancy has drawn could make things harder for her.

With a past that includes high-profile relationships with Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Kate Beckinsale, Davidson appears ready to settle into this more private role as a father.
