School of Rock fans in tears as cast reunite for co-stars' wedding 22 years later

Actors Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, who first appeared together in the hit film School of Rock, have tied the knot nearly nine years after their romance first began as their cast members watched on

School of Rock fans were left in tears after seeing the cast reunite at the wedding of two co-stars.

The film, which was released 22 years ago, starred Jack Black as a failed musician turned rebellious teacher who taught his class to love music before entering them in a battle of the bands competition. School of Rock, which also starred Miranda Cosgrove, Joan Cusack and Sarah Silverman, has remained one of Hollywood's most beloved films with many cinema fans feeling nostalgic for the movie.

A now-viral clip shared to TikTok by School of Rock cast member Rivkah Reyes showed two of her fellow bandmates from the hit film tying the knot. Hundreds of comments were left on the post wishing the pair well.

Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, both 33, tied the knot at a wedding ceremony on January 4. Clips of their post-ceremony party have since gone viral. Hale and Massagli, who met on the set of the Richard Linklater film, have delighted fans of the film as one says it warmed their heart to see the two fan favourites get married.

One wrote: "Y'all have no idea how much this means to me. School of Rock was INTEGRAL to my childhood." Another wrote: "The way I could still see all your little childhood faces in your adult faces and recognised you all."

A third added: "Not to be dramatic, but y'all raised me and I'm so serious." Some were asking where Miranda Cosgrove was, as they could not see her in footage.

One wrote: "Where's Miranda?" But some were left celebrating those cast members who were there, with another saying they could see the characters the actors portrayed. One wrote: "I knew it as soon as I saw Lawrence and Billy." Another replied: "Billy's sass lives on."

Many more users praised the film for being a tool in their education. One wrote: "I was homeschooled and I would watch this movie every night. You guys were my classmates."

Another wrote: "My heart. I grew up on this movie, I know every single word. As a kid, I loved DVD special features, and watched the kids commentary on the movie sooo many times growing up."

Others wish they were at the wedding and say they would do anything to be in a room with their idols. One joked: "I would do ANYTHING to be in that room. Legends." a second added: "It's so beautiful to know you're all still connected." Jack Black, while not at the wedding, reportedly sent a video message to the happy couple.

Hale and Massagli's relationship first became romantic in 2016. They subtly announced their engagement in October of last year, with Hale sharing a "sneak peek" of her diamond ring to social media.

However, they didn't always think they would become an item. Massagli, speaking of his relationship with Hale, told the New York Times: "We thought that was kind of it. But we just kept grabbing dinners and going out for the weekends. We were like, ‘Something’s brewing here.'" The pair danced to 'Edge of Seventeen' by Stevie Nicks, which was used in the film, at their wedding.
