Spice Girls lay down the law with Geri Horner as they grow impatient
The Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton - are set to endorse a Netflix TV biopic but progress, it is said, has been "slowed way down"
The Spice Girls are set to use their "rule of four" agreement to stop Geri Horner holding up filming of a planned Netflix TV biopic, it is reported.
Geri, known as Ginger Spice, is believed have been "dragging her heels for nearly one year" while the Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton reportedly want to press on with the project. Now, it is understood the stars are ready to implement a pact - previously used in 2019 - to allow them to plough on with things if four members are in agreement.
It will mean the other women shall endorse the biopic so it can be released in time for their 30th anniversary of their breakthrough, which is next year. There is chatter of a tour or performance as part of the celebrations as well.
But Geri, 53, is still smarting over husband Christian’s sacking as F1’s Red Bull boss one year on from a sexting scandal, it is understood. He was dismissed from all duties at Red Bull, where he had become team leader back in 2005.

"A variety of projects are being talked about to mark the occasion, including a documentary and a possible tour or performance by the group.
"But a drama doesn’t actually involve the girls taking as much time out of their lives to be a part of it. They just need to endorse the project and provide what input and insight they can. That has been slowed way down, however, and the creators are keen to get going."
The Spice Girls, who led the teen pop resurgence of the 1990s, used the rule of four when they toured as a foursome in 2019 without Posh, who was engrossed in building her fashion business.
While they were formed in London in 1994, the girl band's first studio album - Spice - wasn't released until 1996. It quickly topped the charts both in the UK and in the US.
The drama, which will cover those formative years, is in the pipeline with Orchid Pictures — which is part of Netflix and headed by The Crown producer Suzanne Mackie.
The biopic will then cover the huge success the Spice Girls enjoyed in the following initial years, before their first split in 2000, during which time they had nine UK number one singles.
The Mirror has approached Geri's spokesperson for comment.
