Woman watches Emily in Paris on flight with no idea Netflix star is sitting behind her

A woman who was passing the time watching Emily in Paris on a flight had absolutely no idea a Netflix star was sitting behind her the entire team – she'd have been gobsmacked!

An Emily in Paris fan was watching the show on Netflix during her flight, and she had absolutely no idea one of the stars was sitting directly behind her.

Paul Forman, who is known for his role as Nicolas De Leon, was sitting with his earphones in on the plane when he spotted a woman in front of him watching the rom-com series on her laptop. She seemingly had no idea she was sitting directly in front of the star, as he captured a sneaky video between the seats.

Sharing the clip online with fans and gaining more than 22.9 million views, he wrote: "Do I tell them?" before adding in the caption: "I hope this lady enjoyed Part 2 of @emilyinparis."

Instagram users were left stunned by the video — with one woman suggesting it could have been her. The fan wrote: "Salut Paul, there is a possibility it was me! Was it on Sunday from Istanbul to Brussels? I was on the plane, wearing a red/orange jumper, watching Emily in Paris!!!" but Forman did not confirm.

Another user wrote: "No this is so iconic. I hope you said something," while a third commented: "If you were behind me on a plane I would want to know!" Someone else penned: "Oh you should have. It would have made their day."

The first half of the fourth season saw the rekindling of the love triangle between Emily Cooper (portrayed by Lily Collins), Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat). While the second part of the season is set during Christmas, marking Emily's first winter abroad.

Show creator Darren Star told Tudum: "I always wanted to do a Christmas episode for Emily in Paris, and I wanted to film in the winter. It wasn't the most pleasant experience filming in Paris all winter.

"It rained every day, but I also wanted to go into the Alps in France. And part of what I love doing in the series is exploring different parts of France, getting out of Paris."
