5 pieces from Olivia Attwood's River Island collection that look inspired by designer brands
Serving designer vibes at high street prices, Olivia Attwood's River Island edit is here, and our fashion writer predicts these 5 pieces will go fast
River Island's new collection with Olivia Attwood has launched today, and it's turning heads thanks to its high street price tags and chic designs. The stylish edit is packed with wardrobe staples that fuse sharp masculine tailoring with feminine silhouettes, and take on Olivia's signature style.
Over recent years, the TV personality has cemented herself as a bit of style icon, becoming just as well known for her chic style as for her quick wit. And her latest collection with River Island feels both trend-led and timeless, playing into Olivia's confident personality with power dressing pieces that look just as luxe as designer buys.
Discussing her first ever brand campaign, Olivia said: "I’ve shopped at River Island since I was a teenager. There was a store near where I worked, and I’d go in every day to try on the new drops. The brand has only improved over the years, so when I saw this collection, I knew I had to be a part of it. It’s so me: tailored, fun, and unapologetically bold."

“The tailoring makes everything super flattering, so I want girls to put these pieces on and instantly feel confident, like, ‘I know I look good.’ That’s the energy behind this whole collection. I don’t chase big statement pieces anymore. I’d rather invest in something versatile that I can style in different ways. Like the tweed co-ord, I’ll wear the blazer with jeans or the skirt with a white tee. It’s chic, sustainable, and still feels fresh every time."
From classic pinstripes to statement shoulders and sculpted silhouettes, we've rounded up our five favourite buys from the collection that we predict will be gone soon.
Cream Faux Fur Belted Mid Length Coat
Priced at £89
In a quickfire Q+A on River Island's Instagram, Olivia was asked her favourite piece from the collection. Although she said it was an impossible question, she mentioned the Cream Faux Fur Belted Mid Length Coat, and we'd have to agree. I mean, this really is the statement coat of all statement coats and a total power dressing moment.
Black Boucle Dogtooth Mini Skirt and Cropped Jacket
Skirt priced at £34 and Jacket priced at £69
Adopting a Chanel-esque vibe, this boucle tweed set screams designer for a fraction of the price. This is a part of the collection that feels completely on-brand for Olivia, who is often seen wearing Chanel tweed sets and feminine blazer co-ords.
Style with a pair of oversized statement sunnies and heeled loafers
White Cape Blazer
Priced at £76
Similar to styles from Jacquemus, this cape blazer is one of those wardrobe pieces that looks far more expensive than the price tag. Worn on it's own as a mini dress or paired with tailored trousers and silk midi skirts, this is one of those 'wow' pieces in your wardrobe that will reel in the compliments.
Navy Pinstripe Double Breasted Coat
Priced at £99
A structured pinstripe coat is a total autumn/winter wardrobe staple, in our opinion. Timeless yet modern, its the kind of coat that adds instant polish to any look. Whether layered over simple jeans and knitwear or paired with sleek tailoring, it dress up even the simplest outfits.
Brown Faux Leather Ruched Mini Dress
Priced at £42
Leather is always a trend when it comes to autumn dressing, but this year we're seeing a stray away from classic black hues and instead seeing the rise of chocolate brown, rich burgundy and khaki green shades instead. And this faux leather mini in Olivia's collection totally nails the trend.
The ruched detailing and cocoa colour bring a touch of luxe to the mini. Pair it with statement heels and a structured coat for a total boss girl look.
