The £25 indestructible dog toy that even our shopping expert's springer puppy can't chew through
Shopping Writer Meghan has a Springer Spaniel that simply destroys every toy he gets - except for one that she says really is 'indestructible'
I got my springer spaniel just over a year ago, and since his early puppy years, he's been a devil when it comes to destroying anything and everything he can get his teeth into. My family have sacrificed many pairs of slippers, dozens of socks, several pairs of glasses, three TV remote controllers and very few dog toys that have come out the other side unscathed.
When it comes to tennis balls, he likes to shred them; rubber chew toys he rips apart; anything rope he manages to tear up, and stuffed toys are nearly a lost cause. So I was at a loss for what to buy him that he could play and engage with, to fend off afternoon boredom, that I didn't have to worry about him ruining. I've tried out plenty of apparently "indestructible" toys for dogs of all breeds, but my pup bested them every time. Until this one - and it's available on Amazon.

There are four sizes to choose from to best suit your dog's shape and size. I went for the largest to ensure my pooch couldn't get it fully in his mouth to chew it, but smaller options are available for smaller breeds.
Retailing for £25.24 for the 10-inch option, as seen with my dog Monty, this Boomer Ball is advertised as virtually indestructible and the ultimate tough toy for those ball-obsessed toy destroyers. And I've got to say, after over 6 months, this ball has definitely been put through the wars, but it's still very much intact.
The incredibly tough ball that has become one of Monty's favourites is made from polyethene, which means that most dogs can't puncture the ball or rip it to shreds. Monty has left teeth marks across its surface from attempting to chew and pick it up, but the plastic hasn't been left sharp, nor has it affected the toy's integrity.
My dog has loads of fun playing with this ball, whether on his own or with someone else, as it easily rolls around and can be pushed by the dog or me. The only downside I've found is that if you have hardwood floors like me, it can be quite loud when rolling and bumping into furniture - but it's a price I'm prepared to pay to stop Monty from going for my shoes.
I've not taken the ball outside with me, but thanks to its smooth plastic design, it's versatile enough that you could easily take it to the park, beach or on a walk without worrying about it breaking or getting too dirty, as it's easy enough to wipe off.
I've found this ball to live up to its name, as it seems indestructible (at least thus far). My dog can keep himself entertained without destroying clothes or furniture and keep himself stimulated while I work, making this the perfect solution to playtime. I have no worries that he'll break the toy if I'm not looking. It's simple but effective and has been a godsend to the never-ending stream of breakable toys I bought before.
The indestructible toy is available on Amazon in the same 10-inch size as mine for £25.24, or you can choose one of the other three size options that best suit your dog's needs.
If you prefer to shop elsewhere, you can pick up the same ball from Tesco or Pets At Home, though size options and prices may vary.
