Demi Lovato marries Jordan Lutes and reveals insight into stunning ceremony
Demi Lovato and songwriter Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes are officially married after walking down the aisle in a gorgeous ceremony in California this weekend
Demi Lovato has tied the knot with her songwriter fiancé Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes in a gorgeous California ceremony this weekend. The 32-year-old former Disney star looked out of this world in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown, which featured a corset bodice and smooth satin train, for her special day.
The star, 32, styled her hair into elegant waves with a lengthy veil pinned to the back of her hair as it cascaded down to the floor. She rocked full glam makeup as she tied the knot at around 4pm. Speaking to Vogue, Demi said she was always a fan of Vivienne Westwood's designs and kept 'coming back to them' when deciding on her wedding dress.
The brand sent over a team to Los Angeles from London to create the dress and when she finally got to wear it, she revealed: "I love everything about the dress."
She even rocked another Vivienne dress for the reception later that day. Speaking about her second dress, Demi said to the outlet: "There was so much attention to detail on the reception dress beading. The pearl detail and draping is such a special element, and each strand was draped and attached by hand, one by one. It's a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special."
Sorry Not Sorry singer Demi has been in a relationship with 34-year-old Canadian musician Jordan, who performs under the name Jutes, since January 2022. They became engaged in December the following year.
Demi revealed she was engaged back in December 2023. She wrote in a social media post at the time, showing off her engagement ring: "I'm still speechless! Last night was the best night of my life, and I can't believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic.
"My love, I'm beyond excited to marry you. Every day I've spent with you has been a dream come true and I can't wait to love and cherish you forever. Here's to the rest of our lives. I love you baby!'"
On Valentine's Day earlier this year, Demi shared her excitement about marrying Jutes, writing: "Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that.
"I’m obsessed with your heart, your love and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together. Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life. I love you honey!!!"
Prior to her relationship with the songwriter, she was in a whirlwind romance with actor Max Ehrich - who she was involved with in 2020. They enjoyed an intensive romance during the pandemic, quarantining together in March 2020, becoming engaged that July, before abruptly splitting that September.
In 2021, she revealed the engagement gave her a 'false sense of security.' She said to Entertainment Weekly: "I really had myself fooled, because it was the safe and expected thing/ Obviously, I cared deeply about the person, but there was something inside of me that was like, 'I have to prove to the world that I'm okay'.
"I just don't need an object on my finger to make me feel like I've got my s**t together. It looks like stability, but it doesn't mean that it is. And I don't actually grow through stability. I find that I like living not in chaos or crisis, but in fluidity."
