Annabelle Comes Home arrives in UK cinemas soon but who is back for the new Conjuring instalment?

It is time to return to the terrifying world of the evil doll Annabelle.


In this seventh instalment of The Conjuring universe, Annabelle returns to wreak havoc on the lives of Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), with typically horrific results.


The film follows on from The Conjuring 1 and 2, the Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation films, and also the spin-offs The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona.

The official plot synopsis teases the horrors to come.

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her "safely" behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest's holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter Judy, and her babysitters.

We are sure it is going to be hellish.


Annabelle Comes Home links to Conjuring universe

The film is a direct sequel to the films Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation, existing in the same universe as The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2, along with The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona.

Along with the return of the evil Annabelle doll, the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren return following their turns in The Conjuring films and The Nun.

Both will reprise their roles in the upcoming film The Conjuring 3 - but will the fictionalised characters be okay after an encounter with Annabelle?
