Apple TV+ viewers left ‘emotionally destroyed’ by new movie that ends with a ‘gut punch’
A new film released on Apple TV+ over the weekend has left everyone who’s watched it reaching for the tissues
Apple TV+’s latest heartbreaking film release has received the same reaction from everyone who’s already streamed it over the weekend.
Starring some very familiar faces from British film and TV, the new drama is the perfect blend of romance, comedy and even science-fiction for film fans to get lost in.
Co-written and starring Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein and directed by William Bridges, All of You was released in select cinemas and on the streaming platform last Friday (26th September).
It’s already been making an impact, receiving a 74 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and topping Apple TV+’s film charts over the weekend.
However, make sure you heed viewers’ warnings as it’s guaranteed to bring on the waterworks.
The touching drama is set in a not-too-distant future where scientists have developed a test for finding soulmates and unlucky in love Laura (played by Imogen Poots) decides to go through with it.
Unfortunately, her best friend Simon (Goldstein) has secretly been pining for her for years, and he struggles to keep his feelings to himself when she starts a relationship with her supposedly ideal man, Lukas (Steven Cree).
Fans have been left in floods of tears after tuning in and have taken to social media to share their heartbroken reactions to the devastating ending.
One Letterboxd reviewer was apparently furious, though still gave the film a full five stars. They penned: “apple tv can rot in hell for making this film i’m actually gonna throw up im in tears and hyperventilating (not over exaggerating).”
Another shared: “I knew this movie would be good, but I wasn't prepared for it to destroy me emotionally the way it did.
“It's one of those stories that reminds me why I love movies so much..”
“This movie breaks your heart time after time,” a second fan wrote.
“Great performances. Interesting long shots without cutting away, almost uncomfortably long. So good!”
A fourth agreed: “Devastating, heartbreaking and like a punch in the gut at times. But also warming, emotional and so full of love and depth.”

Apple TV+ members can save £30.88 by paying for a year up front.
The sentiment continued over on X (formerly Twitter), where one user admitted: “I was not ready for this movie. I'm just over half an hour in and I'm already emotionally destroyed.”
Someone else exclaimed: “For romance and drama lovers this was SO good. Amazing acting!!! It felt like one long gut punch.”
And a final fan raved: “Beautiful. What an outstanding film - dialogue to die for and hit me right in the feels. #AllOfYou.”
