Netflix fans get ‘chills’ as streamer teases ‘must-watch’ disaster thriller coming very soon

A new trailer for an unmissable upcoming Netflix movie has given fans goosebumps

Netflix has just released a trailer for what could be one of their best new films of the year.

This upcoming natural disaster thriller looks perfect for fans of films such as The Day After Tomorrow or Twisters.

However, it’s also been produced in South Korea with director Kim Byung-woo at the helm with some familiar faces in the cast, so it’s a must-watch for streamers missing new episodes of Squid Game.

It even features Park Hae-soo, who starred in the first season of Netflix’s hit K-drama, along with Itaewon Class’s Kim Da-mi.

Titled The Great Flood, the trailer teases an epic fight for survival against impossible odds when the entire world becomes submerged underwater.

A synopsis reads: “A great flood engulfs the world. In the midst of a massive catastrophe, water rises inside an apartment building.

“With no hope in sight, one person fights desperately to save a child.”

Releasing just before Christmas, on Friday, 19th December, the film is shaping up to be a nerve-wracking watch for the holidays once the younger members of the family have gone to bed.

Streamers are already getting excited for the thriller as they raced to the comments after Netflix’s new trailer was shared on YouTube.

One user wrote: “This gave me chills!! Kim Da-mi and Park Hae-soo are mind-blowing pairing.

“Korean cinema never disappoints... this is going to be on another level.”
