'Thrilling' police drama with a 'powerful punch' perfect for Line of Duty fans
Line of Duty fans have been urged to watch a "timeless masterpiece" that is coming to BBC iPlayer.
Fans of Line of Duty are being encouraged to tune into one of the "best films of all time" starring legend Denzel Washington.
Training Day, is a "gritty" and "intense" police drama with Denzel Washington (The Equalizer) taking on the role of Detective Alonzo Harris and Ethan Hawke (Sinister) as rookie Jake Hoy. It is set to hit BBC iPlayer in just a few days.
The film, which was released in 2002, follows an LAPD officer who begins working with Detective Alonzo Harris, but soon discovers his unconventional training methods. Labelled as a "must watch", especially for fans of police dramas, viewers can catch this popular film on Friday, 12 September.
A BBC synopsis teases: "Taut urban crime drama following a rookie cop's first day of training in an elite LAPD narcotics squad headed by a veteran policeman with an extreme approach to law enforcement. Arriving Friday 12 September."
Despite its release over two decades ago, it remains a favourite among viewers, who hail it as a timeless "masterpiece".
The cast also includes Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs), Tom Berenger (Platoon), and Snoop Dogg, reports the Express.
With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 74%, one viewer declared: "One of the best movies of all time." Another wrote: "Great Movie! ! ! Highly Recommended! ! ! A++."
