Who is in the cast of The Twits Netflix film?

The Twits is a new animated musical comedy film on Netflix and boasts a star-studded voice cast - here is everything you need to know about who is in the film

The Twits is available on Netflix and the animated musical comedy is based on the 1980 book of the same name by Roald Dahl.


The Twits film, which has a unique trailer and features a star-studded cast, follows the Twits as they seize control of their town and two courageous children are compelled to spring into action.


Beesha and Bubsy team up with a family of magical Muggle-Wumps as they become just as cunning as the Twits in their mission to rescue the city.


Critics have already praised the film as a "hysterically funny, wild ride" before its launch.

Mrs Twit - Margo Martindale

Margo Martindale lends her voice to Mrs Twit and she is a 74 year old American actress recognised for her performances in Justified and The Americans.

She has also appeared in numerous recurring parts in The Good Wife, Mrs America and Mrs Davis.

The star is wed to musician Bill Boals and they share a daughter.


Mr Twit - Johnny Vegas

Mr Twit is portrayed by Johnny Vegas, a 54 year old British actor and comedian, born Michael Joseph Pennington.

The star is most famous for his parts in Benidorm, Ideal and Still Open All Hours.


The father-of-two remains residing in his hometown of St Helens, Merseyside.

He was wed to Irish television presenter Maïa Dunphy, but they parted ways in 2020.


Mary Muggle-Wump - Natalie Portman

Mary is brought to life by Natalie Portman, a 44 year old actress who rose to fame as Padmé Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

She later starred in films such as Closer, V for Vendetta and Black Swan, and also directed the short film Eve and the biographical drama A Tale of Love and Darkness.

Born Natalie Hershlag, the Israeli-American actress hails from Jerusalem but was brought up in New York.


The mum-of-two was previously married to French dancer Benjamin Millepied, but they divorced in 2024.

Pippa - Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke, a 38 year old English actress best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, plays Pippa.


Her other notable roles include Me Before You and Last Christmas.

Residing in Islington, the star has been linked romantically with actor Seth MacFarlane and director Charlie McDowell.


Beesha - Maitreyi Ramakrishnan

Beesha is voiced by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, a 23 year old Canadian actress recognised for her role as Devi Vishwakumar in Never Have I Ever.

She has lent her voice to several projects including the Pixar film Turning Red and the animated series My Little Pony: Make Your Mark.


Bubsy - Ryan Lopez

Bubsy is brought to life by the voice of Ryan Lopez, a young screen and voice actor who has appeared in Jane the Virgin, South Park, Victor and Valentino, Undone, and Not Quite Narwhal.

For Disney, he has provided the voices for characters such as Reptil in Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Miguel Rivera in LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons, Remy in Ariel, and Nachito Ramirez in Primos.


Marty Muggle-Wump - Timothy Simons

Marty is portrayed by Timothy Simons, a 47 year old American actor and comedian famous for his role as Jonah Ryan in Veep.

He's also recognised for his portrayal of Sasha in Nobody Wants This.

The actor and his wife, Annie, are parents to two children.
