Get 'Elemis, Clinique, Dyson and Olaplex' alternatives from £5 with expert's 'little-known' tip

Money-saving expert Anita Naik has shared the budget-friendly alternatives to some of the most in-demand summer products, including a Dyson Airwrap alternative for £50

One savvy money-saving expert is offering British shoppers some clever alternatives and a unique trick to get their summer favourites for a fraction of the cost.

The cost of living crisis shouldn't stop you from enjoying summer to the fullest, but when health, beauty and wellness products often classed as 'luxury' items in a budget it can be hard to scrap together the cash for the expensive quality products. However, money expert Anita Naik has rounded up the most in-demand summer products and found their budget-friendly alternatives with some unique tricks.

Skincare

Starting with the key to a summer glow, the VoucherCodes expert turned to the 'IT' product of the summer: Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm which comes with a £49 price tag for 100g. However, luxury skincare doesn't have to come with a double-digit cost as Anita urged people to look across high-street beauty ranges for salvation.

She specifically pointed out Revolution's Pro range "offers the luxury experience for half the price" with its Miracle Vegan Collagen Cleansing Balm. Both balms share similar ingredients and packaging but with a £34 price difference.

Revolution even offers a bundle for £25 including 100g balm, three microfibre cleansing cloths and a "cute headband".

Makeup

Clinique's Black Honey lipstick has become the go-to for A-listers like Julia Roberts, Emilia Clarke, and Zooey Deschanel this season. However, with its £23.70 price tag and stock shortages, it's not accessible to everyone this summer.

If you're either priced out or simply can't find Clinique's coveted item, beauty guru Anita has a hot tip for you. She recommends e.l.f's Sheer Slick Lipstick in Black Cherry as an affordable £5 alternative.

Haircare

Dyson's gadgets are perennial favourites, and with the summer nights beckoning for more outdoor fun, people are reaching for their trusty Airwrap to ensure they turn heads on their evenings out, despite its hefty £479 cost.

The Airwrap is famed for its styling prowess, epitomising luxury performance at a luxury price. Anita has a savvy suggestion for those watching their wallets; Revlon's One-Step Volumiser.

At just £50, it's a steal, offering volumised roots and stylish curls that almost mirror the Airwrap's finish. Anita also points out that this nifty tool could save you a bundle on salon visits by skipping the pricey blowdry extras.

Another haircare product that's been a hot seller this summer is the Olaplex range, designed to repair and rejuvenate damaged hair. However, the full repair regime comes with a hefty price tag of £224.

Anita, a salon expert, suggests a more affordable alternative - L'Oreal Paris' Elvive Bond Repair Full Routine, which costs less than £40 for the entire routine. She pointed out that these products contain similar ingredients and yield comparable results to the celebrity-endorsed Olaplex range.
