Nameberry said: "Popular unique names may sound like a contradiction in terms, but the popularity list can be a great place to search for names that are uncommon yet stylish and familiar. Our exclusive list of the most popular unique names in 2025 starts with those ranked right below the official US Top 1000 baby names -- not too rare, but hidden from general view."
According to Nameberry, most of these top unique names, ranked 1001 to 2000 on the US list, are given to between 100 and 200 babies a year. That means they "strike a good balance between too popular and too unusual."
