Inside Michelle Keegan's first Mother's Day at luxurious beach hotel with family

Michelle Keegan marked her first Mother's Day in style as she joined her family for Sunday lunch at a gorgeous hotel with coastal views - and paid her new daughter the sweetest tribute

Michelle Keegan celebrated her first Mother's Day at a luxurious beach hotel after welcoming her baby girl, Palma Elizabeth, with husband Mark Wright earlier this month. They were joined by some of their family as they enjoyed a Sunday lunch out, with the new mum paying a touching tribute to her daughter.

The Fool Me Once actress, 37, took to Instagram with a series of photos from the celebrations, alongside the caption: "Such a special day from start to finish. Happy Mothers Day." The family chose to dine at Roslin Beach Hotel, Southend - a four-star hotel offering views across the coast. Pictures showed a gorgeous dining space adorned with round tables, flower garlands, and chandeliers for the idyllic Mother's Day lunch.

Michelle was joined by Mark's parents, Carol and Mark Wright Sr, along with his sisters Jess Wright and Natalya Wright; it's assumed that Mark was also there. The family posed together to mark the occasion, while Michelle also showed off her stylish outfit, with a cream cardigan and light brown wide leg trousers.

In a touching nod to her daughter, she wore an exquisite diamond necklace emblazoned with 'Palma', prompting speculation that it had been a Mother's Day present. Following in her mum's stylish footsteps, little Palma was kitted out in a white outfit complete with her name on the back in pink writing. In one snap, the newborn was being was cradled by Michelle, while another showed her being doted on by her grandparents.

Other sweet moments were captured from the day, including Michelle with baby Palma in the car, more family snaps, and views from the gorgeous hotel. Jess Wright wrote underneath the post: "Beautiful day for us mummas", while younger sister Natalya Wright added: "Gorgeous vibes."

Since becoming a first-time mum, Michelle has remained relatively out of the limelight, providing only sporadic updates. She has hinted at parenting moments, such as sharing a snap of a pram during a meal. Meanwhile, Mark posted about a snug evening spent making homemade lasagne.

Both parents have been spotted enjoying time outdoors, often in the company of Michelle's mum, Jackie Anne Thornton, who is wholeheartedly embracing her new responsibilities as a grandmother.

Mark and Michelle have let slip that they're sharing the responsibility of Palma's nighttime feedings. Mark posted an image of his hearty meal - noodles, veggies, and nachos - and jokingly captioned it: "Carbing up for the night feeds", accompanied by a baby bottle emoji.

Michelle, meanwhile, shared a snapshot of a sushi dinner, as she prepared to indulge in exquisitely laid out sashimi and crisp salads. Her caption: "Waited a long time for you," playfully referenced the hiatus from raw fish due to pregnancy. Adding a twist of humour, she also uploaded a photo featuring a baby bottle declaring: "Used to be a lychee martini."

During a particularly emotional Heart FM chat instigated by his colleague Olly Murs, Mark opened up about his new role as a dad. "I know you're a private guy," prodded Olly, "but this has been such a huge moment for you and Michelle. How are you feeling?".

The question brought out a deep sense of emotion in Mark, who admitted: "Mate, it's hard to even put into words. This is the biggest achievement of my life - it's all I think about." He continued with heartfelt admiration for Michelle, lauding her as "a superhero" following their child's birth. He added: "It makes you appreciate what our mums did for us even more. The strength women have - it's incredible."

Reflecting on the profound impact of the experience, Mark further confessed: "Every morning I wake up so excited just to see her face. That moment I held her for the first time... it gets me emotional just thinking about it. Everything else fades away, and you realise what truly matters in life."
