Shower glass will be clean in 15 seconds thanks to 1 natural item that 'eats through limescale'
Cleaning experts have shared how hotel cleaners always manage to achieve a "flawless" looking shower screen in "seconds" and it doesn't involve white vinegar
Limescale stands as the primary culprit behind grimy shower screens, with soap scum trailing closely as the second biggest offender. But what exactly is limescale?
Put simply, it's water that isn't chemically pure. It harbours various minerals and metals such as calcium, fluoride or magnesium.
Water hardness depends on the concentration of these minerals within your water supply.
When we describe water as hard, it signifies a high level of minerals and metals present.
This combination with soap produces that unsightly residue on water taps, shower tiles and shower screens.
Limescale appears most prominently on shower glass and can destroy your bathroom's overall appearance, reports the Express.
Fortunately, natural cleaning methods exist that don't always require white vinegar.
Cleaning specialists from the Instagram account @thecleangroup have revealed how hotel cleaners achieve "flawless" looking shower screens "in seconds".
In their video caption, the experts explained: "It's not vinegar! Think about how spotless hotel bathrooms are and yet they are used so heavily.
"Well, hotel cleaners are absolute experts when it comes to a flawless finish."
They maintain that the secret natural ingredient is a "melamine sponge" also called a magic eraser.
The professionals stated: "They are not just for getting marks out of walls. A damp melamine sponge will eat through limescale, soap scum and watermarks in 15 seconds.
"I've been using them for clients (and my own) showers for the last six months and, I promise you - you will never get a finish like this any other way.
"I can't wait to hear your verdict. It's a game changer - and I don't say that lightly."
A magic eraser is crafted from a specialist lightweight melamine resin foam that works its way deep into surface grooves, breaking down grime and removing it from the surface using nothing but water.
Showing how it functions, the specialist in the clip rubs a damp magic eraser across the limescale-covered shower screen before cleaning it down with a microfibre cloth.
The before and after outcomes are brilliant and it certainly leaves a "flawless finish".
