Full list of Morrisons closures as 103 cafes, florists and pharmacies axed
The list includes 17 of its smaller Morrisons Daily convenience stores as part of a major restructure, as well as more than 50 cafes, 13 florists, four pharmacies and 18 Market Kitchens
Morrisons is closing 103 stores, cafes, florists and pharmacies this year, with a full list of locations confirmed.
The supermarket has already shut 17 of its smaller Morrisons Daily convenience stores as part of a major restructure. Morrisons has also already announced that more than 50 cafes will close, alongside 13 florists, four pharmacies and all 18 Market Kitchens.
In addition, 35 meat counters and 35 fish counters are also expected to shut permanently. Morrisons said a "wide-ranging review" found these services were not cost-effective.
Rami Baitiéh, Chief Executive of Morrisons, said at the time of the announcement: “In some stores where we are closing counters or Cafés, we plan to work with third parties to provide a relevant specialist offer.
“Although these changes are relatively small in the context of the overall scale of the Morrisons business, we do not take lightly the disruption and uncertainty they will cause to some of our colleagues.“
Morrisons reported a pre-tax profit of £2.1billion for the year ending October 27, 2024 - its first annual profit since being taken over by US private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in 2021.
