McDonald's is launching 8 new items that have never been seen before in UK

There are burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and drinks from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, plus desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia

McDonald’s is bringing eight items from around the world to its UK menu for the first time from today.

There are burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and drinks from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, plus desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.

The new menu launches this today (October 22) and will be around for six weeks - so what exactly does McDonald's have in store?

‌

First up is the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada. This new burger contains two quarter pounder beef patties, with maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions and pickles.

Next, Maccies is taking fans to Australia, with the new Pineapple McSpicy. This features a fiery chicken burger, topped with a slice of pineapple, plus bacon, cheese and lettuce.

No new McDonald's menu is complete without sides - and the next new addition is Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets from Japan.

These are 100% chicken breast meat in a crispy coating, with garlic and a kick of black pepper, served with a garlic and soy mayo dip.

There are also new Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries from Poland. These are basically your regular Maccies fries but with an exciting twist.

They come with a sachet of sour cream and black pepper seasoning, which you add to a bag. You have to then shake the bag to coat the fries in the flavouring.

The final new side is Mac and Cheese Triangles from the United Arab Emirates. These are triangles of macaroni pasta in a cheddar cheese sauce, in a crispy breadcrumb coating served with a tomato ketchup dip.

For dessert, say hello to the new Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia. This is a gooey, chocolatey dessert with molten caramel and chocolate ganache.

There are also two new McFlurries from Malaysia. You can soon tuck into the Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, which is a creamy soft serve swirled with pretzel pieces with either a chocolate or caramel sauce.

Wash down the new menu with the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan. This is described as a floral, fizzy refreshment.
