Black Friday £10 mystery deal could see shoppers bag Samsung Smart TV, Dyson V8 or Xbox

Even some of the lower-value items could see shoppers receive gadgets worth £50 more than the price they paid

Black Friday often poses the opportunity to finally buy those higher-ticket items they’ve had their eye on for a while, such as cordless vacuum cleaners, games consoles and TVs ahead of the festive season.

Typically, these products cost hundreds of pounds - even when discounted - but a mystery deal that costs less than £10 is offering shoppers the chance to snap up some very high-value items for a fraction of the cost.

The Black Friday Mystery Tech Deal, from Wowcher, costs as little as £9.99 to enter. Anyone who purchases the £10 deal will then receive one of 14 different products which range from Smart TVs to vouchers and Bluetooth speakers.

There are 9,967 items available, and only 1,198 bought so far. Each person who purchases a mystery tech deal will have their item selected in a random draw once they redeem their Wowcher code, which is sent out via email after purchasing on the Wowcher website.

Naturally, as with similar deals, there are fewer of the very expensive items available, with one Xbox Series X, one £250 Amazon gift voucher, and one Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser among the products.

Meanwhile 750 customers will each receive a Veho DS-6 Qi 15W wireless charging pad, with 2,500 MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speakers available. It may be one of the less 'wow' prices to some but its £59 price tag would still leave customers walking away with an item worth £50 more than what they originally paid.

Here’s what shoppers could receive for as part of the £9.99 offer:

  • 1 customer will receive a Xbox Series S - 512 GB SSD
  • 1 customer will receive an Amazon £250 Gift Voucher
  • 1 customer will receive a UE50CU7100KXXU 50" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV
  • 1 customer will receive a Velvetiser Hot Chocolate Machine
  • 1 customer will receive a RS1 V2 Electric Scooter - 25kmph Top Speed
  • 1 customer will receive a DYSON V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
  • 1 customer will receive a Switch Lite - Blue
  • 1 customer will receive a Air Fryer 1450W Low Fat Oil Free Frying Compact Cooker Oven Timer
  • 750 customers will each receive a Veho DS-6 Qi 15W wireless charging pad
  • 500 customers will each receive a MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speaker
  • 500 customers will each receive a MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speaker
  • 500 customers will each receive a MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speaker
  • 500 customers will each receive a MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speaker
  • 500 customers will each receive a MX Portable 4W Bluetooth Speaker

There’s also a second deal where customers can pay £19.99, with products like a 2023 Apple iPhone 15 Plus, Amazon £500 Gift Voucher, PlayStation 5 & EA Sports FC 24 Bundle and Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer among the potential items.

It continues to be a popular type of shopping for those looking for an added element of surprise and its tech deal is likely to suit those on the hunt for a Christmas present. The chances of winning an item worth hundreds aren't always guaranteed but it doesn't mean it's impossible, it simply is 'luck of the draw'.

However, if you didn’t fancy the lottery-style deal, some of the above items are reduced this Black Friday weekend. The Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser Hot Chocolate Machine is 15 per cent off at John Lewis, coming in at £84.95, while the SAMSUNG UE50CU7100KXXU 50" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV is £50 off at Currys for £349.
