Top Tech: Shoppers can get an iPhone 16, PS5 or Samsung TV for £30 with new tech deal

TV writer Jake Hackney has found a way to save hundreds on premium gadgets from Apple, Ninja, Samsung and more with a new deal from Wowcher - here's a look at if it's worth your money

As we get closer to Black Friday and Christmas, many of us will be on the lookout for some big deals on tech items. Whether shopping for yourself or a gift for a loved one, buying highly sought-after tech like TVs, smartphones and game consoles can cost more than a bob or two.

You don’t have to wait for the sales to bag a big discount on that new gadget you’ve got your eye on. In this edition of our Top Tech series, we’ve found a way for shoppers to save hundreds on premium tech from big-name brands like Apple, Sony, Samsung and Ninja.

The opportunity comes from Wowcher, which has just launched its new Ultimate Mystery Deal with more than 44,000 tech items up for grabs. The most eye-catching gadgets and devices available include a PlayStation 5 console, iPhone 16, Ninja air fryer and Samsung 4K smart TV, with the full list available at Wowcher here.

This is a random, raffle-style deal with a choice of three entry tiers for £10, £20 and £30, each of which come with the chance to receive a premium gadget for a fraction of the price offered at major retailers. The quality of item you could receive depends on the entry tier you purchase, but it’s worth noting as a raffle-style sale there’s no guarantee an entry will bag you a high-end product.

Shoppers buying a £10 entry could receive an Apple Watch Series 6 or a Drone with a 1080P HD camera, while a £20 entry could bag you a Nintendo Switch, Apple AirPods Max or a 50” Samsung Crystal UHD 4K smart TV. Items available with a £30 entry include a PS5 Slim Digital Console, 256GB iPhone 16, Dyson Airwrap and Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer.

In comparison, a PS5 Slim console costs £334 from Amazon, while a 256GB iPhone 16 would set you back £899 if buying directly from Apple. Those buying an entry to the highest tier have the chance to get one of these products for £30.

An entry guarantees an item regardless of which entry tier you opt for, with buyers receiving any one of the 44,366 items available, but those not lucky enough to receive one of the high-end products will still receive a host of items including a desk fan, Bluetooth speaker or an electric foot warmer. You can increase your chances of bagging a top item by buying multiple entries, after which you will receive one item for each entry, though bear in mind you could receive the same item more than once.

After redeeming the deal, each customer will be entered into the draw to receive one of the available items which will be selected at random and delivered within five working days after redemption. Shoppers must also pay a UK delivery fee which starts from an additional £2.99 per entry.

Elsewhere, Debenhams is in the midst of its autumn sale, with prices slashed on a range of tech items. Shoppers can save £70 on the LG SQC1 Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer at £129.99 and £29.01 off the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 at £139.99.
