Luxury city flat goes on sale which comes with a 'fantastic and unique' surprise

The luxury apartment in Nottingham city centre comes with its very own hidden cave - with the hand-carved feature currently being used as a unique cinema room

A flat fit for Bruce Wayne has gone on the market for £325,000 - with a hidden surprise inside.

The luxury apartment in Nottingham city centre comes with its very own hidden cave - with the hand-carved feature currently being used as a unique cinema room.

The 'magnificent' two-bedroom property blends the ultra-modern with the historic - with sleek monochrome interior design, including giant leather cinema seats, juxtaposed against the historic caves the city is famed for.

According to the listing, the two-bathroom apartment enjoys spacious open-plan living, beautiful curved ceilings and ample amounts of 'secret' storage.

The Georgian property, up for sale with FHP Living, Nottingham, is being touted as a great family home or investment opportunity.

Online the cave is described as 'a fantastic and unique cave room accessed by stairs leading from the living room' - and as it's used as a cinema room it could be used to watch the latest Batman movies.

The 1,500 sq ft flat even comes with electric heating that can be controlled from your mobile phone.

Property consultant at Fhp Living, Elliot Brown, said: "It's an old Georgian building that was renovated about three years ago.

"It's got a sandstone cave in there. The cave has been kitted out, there's a complete cinema room down there and underfloor heating.

"It can be used however you want to use it. I've had some people say they want it as a bar, all sorts of different things really.

"It's a duplex apartment. It's the lower level, you go downstairs to the bedroom spaces and then further down again is the cave. It's about two below ground.

"It would be a pretty good man cave to be fair, but I've had all sorts of people look at it. It's a unique feature.

"Throughout Nottingham in the Lace Market it has got the historic features of the old Lace Factories and the old caves, it's very Robin Hood.

"It's got full electricity down there.

"The whole apartment has been finished to a very high standard.

"There's lots of exposed brick but it still has a modern finish throughout with lots of contemporary features.

"No other apartment block has done it.

"It'd be great for a family or investors. It could be put on AirBnb, anything like that."

After images of the two-bed, two-bathroom property were shared online, viewers were thrilled at the prospect of being able to invite someone back to their very own cave.

One Reddit user wrote: "So many people only post negative stuff here. This is magnificent in its own bizarre way."

Another commented: "Fab. I'd live there. Love that it's marked as 'cave' on the floor plan [laughing emoji] 'Want to come back to mine and see my cave?'"

One wrote: "Showing The Great Escape in a tunnel is funny to be fair."

Another commented: "I would buy this in a heartbeat if I were looking for a flat in Notts, I'm obsessed [heart eyes emoji]."

One wrote: "Nottingham is famed for its caves along from the Lace Market to the castle. They were inhabited historically, this is absolutely brilliant as it's hard to access quite a bit of it now."

Another commented: "I could actually say 'do you wanna hang out in my man cave?' and mean it."
