OVO to give away free electricity this weekend
The Power Your Party offer is available to approximately 1.5 million customers
OVO is offering up to six hours of free electricity to its customers this weekend, coinciding with the start of festival season, to help power those watching Glastonbury live on TV or streaming services. This comes as one in three people plan to host or attend a festival watching party.
OVO is providing two hours of free home electricity daily between 9pm and 11pm on Friday, June 27, Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. The Power Your Party offer is available to approximately 1.5 million OVO customers who opt-in via the OVO energy app, with the deal appearing in their offers section from Friday, June 27 (00:01).
In addition to the six free hours this weekend, OVO customers signed up to its rewards programme, OVO Beyond, which is free to join, can receive two hours of free electricity every week this summer (May 5 to August 31) by opting in through their OVO account or app. Customers can choose the time they use the two free hours of electricity from week to week.

OVO's free hours reward can be combined with other energy-saving benefits, such as OVO Power Move, which offers various rewards through a prize draw - including a year's worth of free energy - for those who utilise energy at more environmentally friendly times of the day. Since its inception, OVO's Power Move has rewarded customers with over £2.8 million for shifting their energy use to off-peak periods, reports Leicestershire Live.
OVO customers can also register for OVO Live, a music-based loyalty scheme that provides exclusive perks, pre-sale tickets, VIP lounge access at OVO venues (OVO Wembley Arena and OVO Hydro) and partner venues (The O2 and Co-op Live).
