Woman duct-taped to plane seat after 'flight attendant attack and weird tirade'
Ketty J Dilone was arrested and charged with one count of interference with a flight crew and one count of assault by striking, beating, or wounding following her outburst
A woman was duct-taped into her plane seat after a bizarre rant in which she allegedly admitted trying to poison her father. It came after she is said to have attacked a flight attendant.
Shocked passengers on the Las Vegas-bound flight watched as Ketty J. Dilone walked through the cabin shouting and threatening multiple flight attendants on September 16, according to the United States Attorney’s Office District of Nevada.
The chaos unfolded after Dilone boarded a connecting flight in Charlotte, North Carolina, during a return trip from the Dominican Republic. Authorities said staff onboard the flight were forced to take drastic action, restraining Dilone with zip ties and duct tape after her bizarre behaviour.
However, even after she was restrained to the seat, Dilone allegedly kicked a flight attendant causing the worker to fall to the floor. A video posted on TikTok captured her foul-mouthed rant, where she can be heard shouting that the restraints are hurting her.
“You don’t know what the f**k I’ve been through, b***h!” Dilone screamed towards a flight attendant. “Kill yourself, b***h! You wanna die, b***h?”
She also bizarrely admitted to putting “roach poison” in her father’s coffee when she was 11 with the intention of killing him. “It didn’t work,” she calmly said. “And in DR (Dominican Republic), we call it ‘Tres Pasito.'”
The US Environmental Protection Agency lists Tres Pasitos - which means “three little steps” - as a potent pesticide used to kill cockroaches and mice. It is illegal in the US.
“So if anybody wants to kill somebody, put roach poison! But make sure it’s not expired, and make sure you put a lot of it!” she went on, before claiming when she used the substance on her father it only “put him to sleep”.
When the flight touched down at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, Dilone was arrested by the FBI before being taken to the Henderson Detention Center.
She was charged with one count of interference with a flight crew and one count of assault by striking, beating, or wounding. She appeared in court to face the charges in Las Vegas on September 18.
A preliminary hearing is set to take place on October 1. If found guilty, she could face up to 20 years in prison.
