Man loses ID on 'drunken' night out – gets worrying letter in the post

But he does get his driving licence back.

A man who had a few too many on a night managed to lose his driving licence.


We've all done it – usually it's just pleasing to know that it wasn't your passport.


William George Armstrong did just that the other night, it would appear. But – dream scenario – his ID was found and sent back to him in the post.


Now, this is almost certainly a PR stunt, but it's a fairly original and impressive one, and people are enjoying it.

A travel company worker is apparently the person who found Armstrong's ID, and sent it back with an alarming message about signing up to first class tickets – with a substantial bill.


Alongside it was a note to let Armstrong know that it was all a joke. The whole thing is exciting people on Twitter.

It looks as though the escapade took place in Cheltenham, in the south west. That's the Flight Centre involved, anyway.

But, yes, there is something wrong with the message. People have been getting a bit upset about the 'you're/your' thing. Understandable.
