Where the 13 LIV Golf stars axed from rebel league are now, including major-winner's brother
The LIV Golf League has been a lucrative venture for many of the players who have left the PGA Tour to join the Saudi-funded series, but others have been forced to move on
The LIV Golf League has proved to be a goldmine for many of those who have abandoned the PGA Tour, while others have been given the boot with no hope of return. Another season of LIV Golf concluded this summer, with hefty sums awarded to a host of former PGA Tour stars who have defected in recent years.
However, not everyone participating in the Saudi-backed series is so lucky as to compete for the top prizes available. In fact, more than a few players at the bottom of the pecking order have been shown the LIV door before they've even had a chance to get comfortable.
And out of the 13 players who were dismissed at this stage last year, nine were rejected following the competition's inaugural event at the Centurion Club in 2022. Mirror Sport takes a look at those who have been released by LIV in recent years to see where they are now.
Oliver Bekker
Oliver Bekker, who finished sixth at the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series event in 2022, couldn't maintain his credentials despite a generous £642,000 consolation prize. The South African has since competed on the Sunshine Tour, DP World Tour and Challenge Tour, where he clinched the Dimension Data Pro-Am for the second time in February 2023.

Thai golfing prodigy Ratchanon Chantananuwat was just 15 years old when he burst onto the scene and earned an invitation to Centurion in 2022, tying for 38th after finishing 11-over par. 'TK' has since pledged his future to Stanford University whilst also honing his skills on the Asian Tour and DP World Tour, with plenty of scope to become a household name in future.
Oliver Fisher
Oliver Fisher is now a familiar face in the media world, having scaled back his golfing commitments at the end of the 2024 DP World Tour season. The 2011 Czech Open victor has been spotted on Sky Sports taking on Premier League stars such as James Maddison and Harry Maguire, while also broadening his horizons as a coach and golf consultant.
Pablo Larrazabal
At the ripe age of 42, Pablo Larrazabal is still swinging, although fans have likely seen the best of him. After pocketing £275,000 for his T13 finish at Centurion three years ago, he left LIV but found success again on the DP World Tour and Korean Tour in 2023, though his triumphs have become less frequent since then.
Viraj Madappa
Indian golfer Viraj Madappa confessed he nearly hung up his clubs for good after battling back issues in 2023. However, the former Centurion contender has since bounced back, making his mark on the Asian Tour and the PGA Tour of India.
Andy Ogletree
After a quick exit in 2022, Andy Ogletree is one of the few players to reclaim their spot in the LIV Golf League, demonstrating that redemption is possible for those who seize it. The 27-year-old's success on the Asian Tour led him back to LIV in 2024, and he ended the 2025 season 48th on the money list, pocketing nearly £1.5million, though again in contention for relegation.
JC Ritchie
Juan Carlo 'JC' Ritchie will return to the DP World Tour in 2026 after securing his place among golf's elite with three victories on this year's Challenge Tour. This marks a well-deserved comeback for the 10-time Sunshine Tour champion, who was also ousted from LIV early in 2022 despite showing potential.
Blake Windred
For Australian golf hopeful Blake Windred, it was another case of a brief stint in LIV after winning the Victorian PGA Championship in December 2021 and accepting his invitation. His time was short-lived as he tied for 38th place and bagged £112,000 before returning to the Challenge Tour, but he has since found his footing on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
Jediah Morgan
Another Aussie, Jediah Morgan, left a more lasting impression with LIV, playing both the 2022 and 2023 seasons as part of Ripper GC. Unlike his fellow countryman Windred, the 25-year-old now mainly competes on the Asian Tour.
Kevin Yuan
Since his brief stint with LIV ended in 2022, the Asian Tour has been a safety net for Kevin Yuan. His performance in 2025 has shown significant improvement, setting new records with eight top-20 and four top-10 finishes despite participating in fewer events than in previous years.
Chase Koepka
Thanks to his famous surname, Chase Koepka, brother of five-time major winner Brooks, was part of the LIV Golf League until the end of the 2023 season. After taking a break from golf in 2024, the former Smash GC member made his return to the Asian Tour in 2025.
James Piot
Former US Amateur Championship winner James Piot managed to stay under the LIV banner in 2022 and 2023, finishing 47th in the latter before leaving. This year, he has participated in several Asian Tour and International Series events in an attempt to reclaim his spot with LIV.
Sihwan Kim
After finishing 50th in the 2023 LIV Golf League and being relegated, two-time Asian Tour winner Sihwan Kim is back playing in that series.
