Chris Robshaw's wife sends three-word parting message after 'furious' Strictly reaction
Former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw has been knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing, with his wife Camilla Kerslake quick to share her thoughts online
Chris Robshaw has officially been knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing, with the former England rugby captain's journey on the show coming to an end on Sunday night.
The Harlequins icon had no dance experience when he signed up to the BBC programme but won over audiences and his fellow celebrities as he took to the dance floor over four weeks with professional partner Nadiya Bychkova. Despite giving his all, Robshaw found himself in the bottom two again on Sunday night, with the panel opting to save EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal over him after the dreaded dance-off.
Having performed a salsa to Ricky Martin's 'Maria', it briefly seemed as though Robshaw might survive to dance another week, as Anton du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas voted to keep him in the competition. But after Motsi Mabuse decided to save Sopal, Craig Revel Horwood, who had the deciding vote, also backed the actress, eliminating the former England international in the process.
While Robshaw expressed his thanks to those on the show for what he described as an "amazing journey", his departure was met with sadness from his fellow contestants, as well as his wife, Camilla Kerslake.
The classical singer has been her husband's most devoted supporter throughout his stint on the show and she has admitted that her fierce loyalty nearly landed her into hot water earlier in the series, as a harsh score from Revel Horwood nearly led her to "climb over the desk" and confront the veteran judge.

"I was furious last week, a protective wife, and I wanted to climb over the desk and give Craig what for. I'm so protective of my husband. I know how hard he's working, how much this means to him, and I reacted."
Following Robshaw's departure from the programme, Kerslake took to Instagram to share another gushing tribute to her husband, and took the opportunity to deliver one last dig at Revel Horwood, whose decision ultimately sealed the former rugby star's fate.
"We are so proud of you @chrisrobshawrugby," she wrote. "You will always be our champion. The show has given us some amazing family memories to cherish forever. You have bought us so much joy doing Strictly.
"It's been a year from hell, but like always, you continue to put your family first, and show up for us even in the toughest times. Thank you for being our forever winner, you are our boys world (including [dog] Rico), and the best human.
"To see you thriving, and living your best life in sequins, has been brilliant. We know how hard you trained, and how much you loved this experience. We are so proud of you. And the boys will always mark you a ten for being the best daddy. "You are good enough, and we love you. Forever our winner," she concluded, as she turned her attention to Revel Horwood and added: "P.S. Craig - BOO to you."
Robshaw also turned to social media to thank his supporters and pay tribute to both his wife and professional dance partner, as he wrote: "My @bbcstrictly chapter unfortunately comes to an end. I want to say a massive thank you to my partner @nadiyabychkova. When we first started the show I had no confidence on the dance floor, sleepless nights before shows and massive doubts in my ability. You made the whole experience fun, challenging and rewarding.
"For last night's show I couldn't wait to be on the dance floor and show everyone what we had been working on. We opened the 2025 series with a Samba and a set of 3s, to last night risking it all with daring lifts, a pair of 7s and loving the salsa. Am sorry we couldn't go further but am thrilled we jumped in every session and went all in every show, finishing with our highest score and some moves which hadn't been seen together on the Strictly floor.
"My incredible wife @camillakerslake thank you for giving me the support and belief to give everything to this challenge," Robshaw continued. "Especially loved seeing the reactions on your face post my dances.
"For those who voted to keep us in, thank you so much we loved the opportunity to show you how hard we'd been working and trying to improve. The dancing shoes are definitely not being hung up, maybe just put in the cupboard for a rest. Thank you for all the support through out the series I've loved it. We all need to step out our comfort zone at times, I've grown to love it; give it a go, you've got this."
