Tunisia travel rules are changing for UK travellers as the holiday hotspot is easing Covid test rules for vaccinated travellers and scrapping quarantine requirements
Tunisia is joining the latest line-up of countries scrapping Covid tests for vaccinated Brits, while also scrapping quarantine rules for those who are not double jabbed.
From tomorrow (February 15), double jabbed Brits will simply need proof of vaccination in order to enter Tunisia.
Those who are not vaccinated will also be able to visit without needing to self-isolate, but they will still need either a PCR test taken within 48 hours before travel, or a rapid lateral flow test taken within 24 hours. (It's worth noting that you'll need a QR code as proof of your test result).
It follows in the footsteps of the likes of Greece and Portugal which made similar moves ahead of half term, while France also axed Covid test rules this week for fully vaccinated Brits.

Under the new rules which have come into force, if you're double jabbed you won't need any Covid tests when returning to the UK, although you will need to fill out a passenger locator form in the 48 hours before you depart for the UK.
For those who are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, you'll need to fill out the form but you'll also need to take pre-departure and post-arrival Covid tests.
As for unvaccinated children, according to the GOV UK website: "Children aged 4 and under do not have to take any COVID-19 travel tests. Children aged 5 to 17 have to follow the testing and quarantine rules for people who qualify as fully vaccinated on arrival in England."
Where can I go on holiday from the UK right now?
As well as Covid test changes, a number of countries have been slowly reopening their borders to travellers.
Australia has revealed plans to welcome back tourists later this month later this month, marking the first time that UK holidaymakers will be able to visit Australia since March 2020. (You will need to be vaccinated in order to be granted entry).
Meanwhile, New Zealand has unveiled a phased reopening of its borders in 2022. Its fourth step expected to take place "no later than July" will most likely apply to the majority of Brits as it will mark the reopening of borders to visitors and business travellers who can normally enter New Zealand without a visa.
It's worth noting that the Foreign Office currently advises against travel to specific regions in Tunisia - so check the latest Tunisia travel advice before booking or going on a trip.
