Anthony Boyle’s forgotten Derry Girls role revisited after House of Guinness success

Anthony Boyle plays Arthur Guinness in the new Netflix drama but he has also starred in a number of other huge shows.

House of Guinness is on Netflix and the historical drama tells the true story of the Guinness siblings as they navigate the aftermath of their father's death.

The series was created by Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight, and it stars Anthony Boyle as the eldest son, Arthur Guinness, who is hiding a huge secret.

Anthony has already expressed his keenness to return for a second season following House of Guinness's success, but he has also starred in plenty of other big shows.

One of his first TV roles was a guest role in Game of Thrones, in which he played a Bolton Guard.

Fans may also recognise him as David Donnelly in Derry Girls - the character whom Erin Quinn (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) swoons over.

He later appeared in the fourth episode, but did not return for the show's second season.

After leaving Derry Girls, he went on to star in Masters of the Air, The Plot Against America and Say Nothing.
