Axed Big Brother star George told to 'grow up' after sharing divisive post
The latest series of Big Brother is underway and has already aired several controversial moments, including George's exit
Big Brother's George has been told by viewers to "grow up" after sharing his first post since being axed from the show. The contestant was told to leave the iconic house due to ongoing use of inappropriate language.
Now that he's back home, George took to his social media to share a post but it hasn't gone down well with his followers. The specific incident which caused the 23-year-old to be removed from the show but he had already received a warning from bosses due to his "inappropriate behaviour and language".
It has been rumoured that he was involved in a conversation about conspiracy theories but ITV has not confirmed his exact words.
While the housemates were asleep, George was called to go into the Diary Room where he was told he would no longer be a contestant on the show.
ITV will not be airing what George said as it violated broadcasting standards. George has now shared a video to his Instagram page where he discusses being kicked off the programme.
George can be seen sitting barefoot in his garden with an open book across his face. He leans towards the camera and says: "I was asking questions. I just want to know the truth. You know?"
He then walks away from the camera and wrote in the caption: "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing," which is a quote from Albert Einstein.
However, many viewers didn't like George's video, with many taking to the comments to share their opinions. Singer Sean Chriscole wrote: "You broke broadcast standards, I’ve read them. I know what they are, you know what they are. They’re dead easy to follow.
"I’ve seen contracts for Netflix and ITV and BBC as an actor myself. You have to say some stupid s**t to get sacked/contract terminated. Yet your [sic] brush it off as 'I was just asking questions.' Do some self reflection and grow up."
Another said: "I just wanna know what you said that was soo bad," while a third commented: "Just tell us what you said. We all want to know."
George had plenty of controversial opinions during his time in the Big Brother house. He shared his views on homelessness, saying that homeless people should take responsibility for their financial situations.
He then went on to say that most people who shoplift are driven by greed instead of desperation. George was given a warning from Big Brother after mocking the hand gestures and voice of his housemate Sam Ashby.
