Big Brother fans call for star's exit after major rule break on livestream

Big Brother fans are fuming after returning star Emily Hewertson was accused of breaking show rules during an ITVX livestream as they called for producers to "evict her"

Big Brother housemate Emily Hewertson has come under fire from viewers, who claim she broke one of the show's rules following her return to the house. The 25-year-old political events manager and conservative social media influencer from Northampton made headlines during the launch episode of the series when she became the first contestant evicted.

Her exit came after a brutal eviction, which saw three housemates forced to vote one of themselves out. Despite her early departure, Emily made a surprise comeback on Day 20, re-entering the house in a dramatic twist alongside fellow former housemate Farida Khalifa.

But Emily’s return has now sparked controversy, after fans alleged she may have breached the show’s strict rules during Saturday night’s livestream. A tweet posted by Super TV claimed, “WHY IS EMILY ALLOWED TO TELL THEM IT IS NOW VOTE TO SAVE?? EVICT HER IMMEDIATELY THIS IS A CLEAR BEACH OF THE RULES!!! NO OUTSIDE INFORMATION GIRL #BBUK #BBUKLive @ITV @BBUK @OFCOM @ITVX @RoyalFamily @metpoliceuk.”

Another said: "Everyone pretending like Emily didnt just tell them its vote to save now... #BBUK #BBLIVE." Others echoed the sentiment on social media, with one user writing, “Honestly evict her for this alone.” Another added, “This is why I don’t understand why they can bring outside people in??”

A third viewer joked, “WE NEED THE ROYAL FAMILY TO BANISH HER FROM EXISTENCE.” It comes after Big Brother shocked viewers with a dramatic fake eviction twist during Friday night’s episode.

Housemates Nancy and Sam faced the public vote after receiving the most nominations - but the eviction was a fake. While everyone believed Sam had been sent home, he was actually moved to a secret room, where he joined former housemates Emily and Farida, who had already re-entered the game in secret.

The trio will remain hidden from the rest of the house before making a surprise return later in the series. Housemates are still unaware that the eviction was a twist.

As expected it didn’t take long for viewers to rush straight to social media to share their reaction as they questioned why the crowd was so quite during the eviction. One fan said, “They definitely know something is up because the crowd was far too quiet."

Another wrote, “Aj literally screaming about there being 3 new housemates into the mic yet the crowd couldn’t cheer for the secret housemates I’m so confused #bbuk #BigBrother.”

A third fumed, “THIS CROWD IS SO S*** #BigBrother #bbuk.” Meanwhile other added, “Possibly the most disinterested #LiveEviction crowd I've ever seen. #BigBrother #BigBrotherUK.”
