Big Brother fans uncover housemates secret past - including Downton Abbey role
Big Brother fans have uncovered new housemate George Gilbert's 'secret' acting past after the housemates entered the ITV show as a new arrival earlier on in the week
The Big Brother house has opened it's doors to another bunch of housemates, and of course, fans are playing detective and digging into their past.
After the launch, the contestants received the shock of their lives when four new housemates walked in. Despite this being the civilian series of the show, fans have uncovered one of the newbies' acting past, including a role in Downton Abbey.
Cameron, Richard, Feyisola and George were given a difficult task when entering the house, as they were told they needed to give two housemates an evil eye. Those who received it would face Friday's eviction.
Zelah was the first to receive the evil eye, with Gani being the second to receive the dreaded eye from the new housemates last night. The dramatic event left Feyisola in tears - but it seems one housemate is used to the drama.
Parish councillor George Gilbert is an actor, with fans on Reddit finding his acting profile. The star also has an IMBD page, which reveals he's had roles in Sneakerheads and The Stand Up Sketch show.
Fans may recognise him however, from his small role in the Downton Abbey movie and ad campaigns for Adidas and Eurovision.
Along with a screenshot, of his profile on Reddit user penned: "He is an actor, which is very strange of him to not mention. He is also a movie extra and model. The fact that he isn't bringing this up is quite surprising, especially since calling himself a thespian is the first thing you see on his Instagram page."
George, who has been open about his views on immigration on the show, hasn't appeared to mention his acting, with some housemates wondering why...
"Almost as if ITV has specifically scouted out people already in the industry but specifically asked them not to mention it," while a second said: "Strange that they didn’t mention it."
A third wrote: "If they mentioned he was an actor, then fair enough, but the fact that they're actively hiding it is just confirmation really. It's a shame, I wouldn't have cared if they were honest."
A fourth said: "It's very possible George has actually mentioned it to other housemates but they edited it out because they don't want the audience to know they scouted him."
George isn't the only one who's been seen by the public before. Elsa Rae is already known to thousands online and used to date content creator, influencer manager and boxer Ed Matthews.
However, Elsa has been open about her social media presence, telling housemates she just "fell into" the career path.
