EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Traitors star next to be axed 'revealed' as friend exposes 'fatal flaw'
Kathy Burke has a friend on Celebrity Traitors and is loving the show - but thinks her pal will be banished soon as he "looks guilty"
A celebrity pal of Mark Bonnar has admitted he may be next to be banished on Celebrity Traitors - because he looks guilty and like he is over acting.
The acclaimed actor is a faithful but has been seen getting hugely frustrated on the round table scenes where the famous faces vote to get rid of someone. He has shouted and stormed off in some scenes on the BBC show.
And actor and comedian Kathy Burke worries he could be next to be banished. Appearing on stage in London, she said: “Thank f**k the traitors ain’t on tonight, there would be no one here. I am loving that at the moment, Celebrity Traitors.
"Go on it? No no no, with a load of celebrities all together? I like to sit back and watch and think ‘what fools’.
“I have to say I am quite good friends with Mark Bonnar the actor, who is in it. And Mark, god love him, he is being so over the top. ‘Oh I can’t believe she’s gone’ - like she has actually died.
“But Mark is like that, he is so lovely but dead passionate and angry. So I reckon they are going to boot him out cos they’ll think he is a f**king traitor and a really bad actor. Poor Mark.”
Kathy was speaking at a theatre Q&A to promote her new book A Mind Of My Own. During the conversation she also told how she loves watching reality TV including Love Island. But she wasn’t always like that.
She explained: “I never stayed in during the 80s, I was out every night. People used to talk about these great television programmes like Boys From The Black Stuff and I never saw any of them, I was out. I missed all this stuff.”
But she added: “When we were kids we loved telly and if you had told me then when you get to 60 you can watch what you want and whatever time you want to watch it, I would have been like, I am never going out again. I am never f**king going anywhere. It has come just at the right time for me, being an old bird that doesn’t want to go out.”
Before he went on the show, Mark Bonnar was asked if he would bring his acting skills into play on the show. He said: “I think I'll bring my people skills into it. I don't know if I'll bring my acting skills.
"Well, I might have to...who knows? I think what I have is a good ear, I'm good at listening to people, I'm friendly, I'm personable, I'm fairly perceptive. I like to think that I can sense when something's not quite right and I think I'm a good team player as well. I love being part of a group of people achieving something together - that’s essentially what my job is.”
Kathy Burke A Mind Of My Own is out Thursday published by Gallery Books.
