None other than Matt Czuchry, known to millions as the charming Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls, stars in the show, taking on the role of Dr. Conrad Hawkins.

The character is described by Tudum as "a fist-bumping, cocky, and beloved senior resident at Chastain Memorial".

According to the synopsis, Conrad is a savvy pro who "knows the ropes, he knows the rules and how to break them... he knows just about everything".

Curious about The Resident? Let us fill you in on everything you need to know.

What is The Resident about and where is it set?

Set in Atlanta, Georgia, The Resident lays out the drama-packed life at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Alongside Conrad, the narrative follows the hospital's staff as they navigate through professional emergencies, complex love lives, and personal challenges, reports the Express.

The official blurb gives a glimpse into the plot: "A medical student learns tough lessons about hospital life and endures intense on-the-job training under the supervision of a brilliant senior resident."

This particular medical student is Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal), a bright-eyed new resident at the hospital who has to learn the ropes amidst high stakes, while his peers seemingly tackle it all with ease.

Conrad, a top-notch attending physician of internal medicine, is in his third year of residency at Chastain Memorial as the show kicks off.

Tudum reports that the first season "follows justice-driven senior resident Conrad; Conrad's trainee, the newly minted doctor, Devon, who's quickly thrown to the wolves when the ER becomes short-staffed; and veteran surgeon Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood), who's keeping his own medical diagnosis a secret, despite its devastating effects on some of his patients".

Who is in the cast of The Resident?

Matt Czuchry, known for his roles in The Good Wife and Gilmore Girls, takes on the role of Dr. Conrad Hawkins, a senior resident internist.

Manish Dayal, familiar from 90210 and Rise, portrays Dr. Devon Pravesh, another resident internist at Chastain Memorial.

Joining them is Bruce Greenwood of Fall of the House of Usher fame, playing the hospital's chief of surgery, Randolph Bell.

The cast also features Emily VanCamp from Revenge as nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin, Tasie Lawrence of House of Anubis as Devon's fiancee and journalist Priya, Shaunette Renee Wilson from Black Panther as surgical resident Dr. Mina Okafor, Merrin Dungey of Big Little Lies as hospital CEO Claire Thorpe, and Melina Kanakaredes from CSI: NY as oncologist Lane Hunter.
