What to watch this Halloween: The best scary movies that have just dropped on Sky

Spooky season is upon us and, in celebration of Halloween, Sky is encouraging viewers to choose from a selection of 13 scary movies.

To celebrate the beginning of ‘Spooky season’ this October, Sky has unleashed a whole host of bone-chilling scary movies for horror fans to binge.

Sky and NOW have highlighted some of their best hair-raising horror movies for Halloween, with many having just dropped on the platform at the start of this month.

From well-known staples like The Ring and IT, to haunting new masterpieces like Annabelle: Creation and M3GAN, viewers are well set up for a terrifying movie marathon.

Ahead of Halloween on October 31, here are thirteen films to treat (or trick) yourself to but - be warned - some of them are seriously scary!

Horror movies new to Sky and NOW

Five Nights at Freddy’s

When a troubled security guard begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, he realises the night shift is no easy feat.

The Exorcist: Believer

This horror film serves as a sequel to the classic 1973 film The Exorcist . Set decades after the original events, the film follows the disappearance of two girls who return three days later with no memory of what happened.

IT (2017)

Set in the fictional town of Derry, Maine, this film follows a group of children known as the ‘Losers Club’ who confront a shape-shifting evil entity, a sewer-dwelling clown known as Pennywise. The Losers' Club must overcome their individual fears and work together to defeat Pennywise before he strikes again.

M3GAN

A roboticist at a top toy company creates a child-size humanoid doll called M3GAN, designed to be the ultimate companion for children. When M3GAN develops an unhealthy attachment to her paired child, Cady, things quickly get out of hand and lead to unimaginable consequences.

Scream VI

In the sixth film of this fan-favourite horror franchise, starring Jenna Ortega, the survivors of the latest Ghostface slayings start afresh in New York, but a new killer wants to take a slice out of the Big Apple.

Night Swim

An unsuspecting family moves into a new home, unaware that the dark secrets from the past will unleash a malevolent force in their pool.

Knock at the Cabin

While on holiday at a remote cabin in the woods, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse.
