Heartstopper season three has almost landed on Netflix and will welcome a familiar face to its cast
WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Heartstopper.
Heartstopper season three is going to see a Bridgerton star make their debut, much to Netflix subscribers’ delight.
The beloved teen drama has been missing for more than a year but it was always set to return after the show was given a double series renewal after the success of its first outing.
Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels of the same name, Heartstopper is an LGBTQ+ coming-of-age story which has followed teens Charlie (played by Joe Locke) and Nick’s (Kit Connor) love story.
Netflix subscribers were thrilled when Nick finally said he loved Charlie at the end of series two but the pair were interrupted before Charlie could reply so does he really feel the same way?
This is one of the big questions for when Heartstopper season three debuts but another exciting prospect is the introduction of a Bridgerton star.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Bridgerton’s Lord Anthony Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey would be joining Heartstopper for its latest outing.
He will be portraying an Instagram-famous author called Jack Maddox who is Charlie’s celebrity crush.
It is believed that he is an interpretation of English scholar and former musician Henry Maddox who is brought to life in Oseman’s graphic novels.
The 36-year-old, who has also starred in W1A, Broadchurch and Fellow Travellers, actually requested to appear in the latest episodes of Heartstopper.

Sky has brought back its viral free trial, meaning you can bag a Netflix subscription and Sky Stream for £0 for the first month, offering customers a saving of £31.
This means members can enjoy binge-worthy shows like House of the Dragon, The Walking Dead and Bridgerton without paying a penny.
Jonathan explained: “Like so many people, I watched the first series and thought it was one of the biggest, most beautiful gifts to so many people, and I wish I had that growing up.
“I had a mutual friend who knows [producer Patrick Walters] and I just said, if there’s anything I could do to help and be a part of that story.
“It’s not just for our community. It’s for every person who is a member of a family who has a member of the LGBT+ community. It helps all of us.”
Heartstopper season three premieres on Thursday, October 3, on Netflix.
