Highest rated Netflix series of 2024 revealed and it's not the one you might think

The highest rated Netflix original series has been decided by fans but the winner may not be the show you're expecting it to be

The highest rated Netflix original series has been decided but the lucky winner may not be the one you were thinking of.


CasinoDays has collated a list with the most talked about shows of 2024 and Arcane season two is top of the list with an average audience rating of 94.1 out of 100.


The steampunk action-adventure series returned for its second instalment in November last year, but fans were devastated to learn that it would be the show's final season.


In second place is the third season of Heartstopper, with an average audience rating of 93.8 out of 100.

The teen romance series' third instalment was highly anticipated after creating a huge fandom thanks to the relatable coming-of-age storylines.

It primarily focuses on Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) as they navigate their relationship, friendships and experiences.

In third place is the Japanese reality dating show The Boyfriend which premiered its first series on the streaming platform in July and has a rating of 93.6

It's created history as the first same-sex dating show from that nation and it's been appreciated so much that it been renewed for a second season.


In fourth place is The Lincoln Lawyer season three with an audience rating of 89.5 out of 100.

The legal drama series is based on Michael Connelly's 2008 novel The Brass Verdict which is a sequel to his novel The Lincoln Lawyer.

The Diplomat season two is next with 88.1, followed by One Hundred Years of Solitude (86.9), American Nightmare (86.9), Baby Reindeer (86.0) and Nobody Wants This at 85.7.


Rounding out the top ten is romantic drama One Day which premiered on Netflix back in February and has an average audience rating of 85.0.

Netflix had a stellar year last year and ended it on a high note with the hugely-anticipated second series of Squid Game.


The second instalment amassed a huge 126.2 million views since it released on December 26, more than any Netflix series has ever achieved in that amount of time.

It topped Netflix's charts with the biggest debut ever with 68 million views in four days and picked up a further 58.2 million views in its first full week.

Upon release, it entered the list of most popular non-English language series but has now gone from number seven to number two, only being beaten by season one of the hit show.
